Overview:

Finely detailed vintage mechanical clown charm crafted in 14k yellow gold (circa 1950s to 1960s).

The distinct and unusual clown features movable eyes and a tongue, activated at the base with a stem (push and pull motion activates the eyes and tongue). Perhaps a little on the creepy side, we love the amount of detail that went into making the clown, from the brushed gold finish of the face to the undulating collar. The 3mm bale can accommodate a thin chain for wear as a pendant if desired. Also great worn as a charm on a bracelet.

The charm is in good condition with some loss evident to the enamel (one eyeball has complete enamel loss). We have not cleaned it in order to preserve the patina and collector value.
