These simple well-made connectors with a spring gate are made from A4 (316 grade) stainless steel. They can perform many functions onboard but they should not be used for heavy or critical loads.
Use them for:
- Small tool and accessory lanyards
- Securing small items such as keys and whistles
- Hanging up small items such as fruit hammocks and clothes lines
Do NOT use them for
- Lifting heavy weights
- Lifting of securing people

Gate openings:

3 x 30 mm = 5 mm

4 x 40 mm = 6 mm

6 x 60 mm = 7.5 mm

Carbine Hooks are also often referred to as Snap Hooks, Carabiners or Karabiners. I don't suppose there is a right or wrong term, but we are sticking with "Carbine Hooks". A carbine is a gun with a barrel slightly shorter than a rifle.
